Launching of the EQUIPEX NAOS project:
To improve the cognition of the relation between ocean and climate
Prize-winner of the first wave of the call for projects EQUIPEX “Excellent Equipments” launched within the framework of the big loan, NAOS benefits from an eight million euro financing. The main goals of the project NAOS (Novel Argo Ocean observing System), coordinated by Ifremer, are the intensification of the French and European contribution to the Argo international network and the evolution of this network which passes by the development of the new generation of Argo floats.
